A slat wall panel is an acoustic wall covering made from parallel wooden slats combined with a sound-absorbing backing material (our RecoSilent acoustic blanket). These panels serve a dual purpose — they enhance the look of your space with natural wood textures while helping to reduce noise and echo. Slat wall panels are perfect for homes, offices, and commercial spaces where both design and acoustic comfort are important. They are easy to install and can transform any ordinary wall into an elegant and functional feature.

“Form follows function” is a core principle of Scandinavian design. The purpose of WallRibbon’s wooden acoustic slat wall panels is to reduce noise in spaces such as bedrooms, living rooms, offices, and waiting areas. Sound consists of waves moving through the air, and the combination of the RecoSilent acoustic backing and wooden slats helps to absorb and diffuse those waves by creating small pockets of air. It works much like how the world becomes quieter after a fresh snowfall.

The design of the slat wall panels is both simple and elegant: wooden slats are mounted onto an acoustic backing. This combination of wood and fabric also makes the panels flexible enough to be installed on gently curved walls or ceilings, as long as the curve is not too sharp.

Our wood slat wall panels come in two convenient sizes to fit different spaces and installation needs:

• 116.5” × 23.6” (2960 × 600 mm)

Both options are designed for easy handling and a seamless look when installed side by side.

Our acoustic felt comes in three colors: black, gray, and white.
Because we offer a large selection of wood slat wall panels, it’s not possible to freely mix and match slats and felt colors.

No. We recommend using a circular saw, plunge saw, or fine-toothed saw.

To cut the acoustic felt, use a carpet knife.

For height cuts: Use a circular or plunge saw and a straight edge or ruler to guide your cut.
For width cuts: Use the same tools if cutting through a wooden slat. If you need to cut only the acoustic felt, use a carpet knife.

The gap between the slats on our panels is 0.59” (15 mm), providing a balanced look and optimal acoustic performance.

Each slat is 0.98” (25 mm) wide, giving the panel a clean and modern look.
