What is a slat wall panel?

“Form follows function” is the credo of Scandinavian Design. The function of Wallribbon´s wooden, acoustic slat wall panels is to reduce noise in a bedroom, living room, office or waiting room. Since sound simply is wave movements in the air, the combination of the Recosilent blanket and the wooden ribs work by hindering those waves and creating pockets of air. It is the same reason why the world becomes quieter after a recent snowfall.The basic design of the wooden slat wall panel is as simple as it is elegant: Ribs of wood are fastened to an acoustic blanket. The combination of wood and textile makes the panels flexible; they can be used on curved walls or ceilings, provided that the curve is not too sharp.Presently, our slat wall panels comes in two sizes, 94.488″ x 23.622″ and 116.535″ x 23.622″. You can, however, easily cut them to desired size using a saw for ribs or a mat or box knife for the Recosilent blanket. Since the ribs are stapled to the blanket, you can remove them from the blanket without problem, in case you want to use the separately.
